He sits up and reaches toward her, fingers flexing in a silent motion to either grab his hand, or 'come here', whichever way she might take it.]

She thinks everyone is out for something. Everyone wants something out of her. Easier to expect it, she thinks. Because then maybe it will hurt less than if she lets herself be open. Nevermind that Klaus has weaseled his way past those walls.]
Yeah.... [He agrees with a slight nod, tilting his head to rest on top of hers. He shifts so she can curl up with him. He slides an arm around her, offering as much comfort as he's getting, too.] but it's more than that, too? I'm... I like him. All it took was a half-way suggestive text and I was there. It's the kind of thing we would have been fucking reamed for falling for, when we were kids.
[So many of Klaus' thoughts always circle back to those years, in that house, under his father's thumb; Faith has probably heard plenty of stories about Reginald, certainly enough to have a clear-cut picture of the kind of man he was.]
[She's kind of glad that they are close like this, his head resting on top of hers so he can't see her face. Because, yeah, it doesn't escape her that she's more or less done the same thing. It hadn't been a suggestive text, but she hadn't wasted time in getting here, wanting to help him at the drop of a hat.] Why would you have expected it to be a trick, though? [He slides his thumb in a smooth, steady line along the side of her hand. His voice is small and soft when he speaks up again.] I'm glad you came over.
Yeah, knowing everyone's thoughts at the top of their heads is probably a recipe for disaster. [Her eyes flutter a bit as his finger trails along her hand. Faith laughs softly.] Although all my thoughts are absolutely filthy. So you might enjoy that.
[She gets quiet, smile fading a little when she looks up at him. It's a softer look, her free hand grazing his beard.] Yeah, well... I wanted to be sure you were alright.
That does sound pretty great. [He smirks slightly.
That smirk eases gently into a soft smile as he leans into the touch of her hand, turning so his cheek rests against her palm.]
If I didn’t know any better, I’d say you like me. [His words have an amused, teasing edge to them, but his voice is still soft, like he’s sharing an important secret.]
[He sinks easily into that kiss, dropping one hand onto her hip, and shifting so she can climb in his lap if she wants. He leans eagerly into that kiss, pressing closer to deepen it.
Klaus doesn’t really know what he and Faith are to each other, but he likes it, he knows he doesn’t want to lose it, or her.]
